The Guild

Code of Conduct:

Remember – Each guild member’s actions reflect on the guild as a whole.

       I.          Ashes of the Phoenix members will treat other Horde players with respect. While most may be common sense, it is important to point out that ‘Ninja-Looting’, (the practice of stealing an item from a raid or party which has not decided ownership via the Master Looter) will not be tolerated and could result in immediate removal from the guild. Other activities such as taking advantages of others will not be tolerated.

II.          Ashes of the Phoenix will adhere to decency and will not resort to an over-abundance of foul language. Verbally assaulting others will not be tolerated. Further, any racist, sexist or otherwise related behavior will result in a warning; failure to listen will result in removal from the guild.

III.          Ashes of the Phoenix will strive to keep our guild community free of drama. Discussion of drama will not be aired in the guild channel via in-game or vent, all parties are recommended to seek out a Guild Officer or Guild Leader to settle any disputes. Members disruptive to the enjoyment of the guild will be removed.

IV.          Ashes of the Phoenix will not stand for members flooding or spamming guild chat. It is in the best interest of each member to refrain from but not limited to; gold begging, instance run-throughs, etc.

Guild Chat:

Things appropriate for guild chat:

  1. Greeting members as they log in.
  2. Saying goodbye when leaving or to someone who is leaving.
  3. Asking for help or answering someone’s questions.
  4. Linking items found for guild-mates.
  5. Leveling announcements.
  6. Guild news or announcements.
  7. Organizing quests, raids, meetings, parties etc.
  8. Chat (Must follow Code of Conduct).

Things not appropriate:

  1. Spamming.
  2. Typing ALL IN CAPS or LiKe ThIs.
  3. Party chat. This is why there is "Party Chat- /p". If you are in a party with other members in the guild – please refrain from holding party conversation in guild chat.
  4. Person to person conversations. If you are getting along with someone, that’s great! Just have some consideration for others and whisper each other - /w.
  5. Talking about real-life happenings. It is alright to inform the guild you may not be making a raid, but please refrain from giving too much information.
  6. Bragging about you. In your best interest, bragging about yourself in RL or in-game is just not interesting to the rest of the guild, it can and will make people not like you.

Behavior:

  1. All members are expected to follow the rules established by Blizzard.
  2. All members will carry their guild name with respect to other people in the game. As a member of this guild you are expected to conduct yourself in a manner which will reflect well on your guild.
  3. We expect you to act like adults. Please be mature in all-game channels including trade.
  4. There should be no personal attacks on other members in guild chat. All personal disagreements should be handled privately and through the correct procedures. Any debates should be general in nature and not directed towards any single individual.
  5. Topics of an inflammatory nature such as religion, politics, and sexual orientation should be avoided in guild chat at all times.

Alterative Characters:

Alterative characters will not receive Ranks. Playing of alternates is discouraged until your main is maximum level! An ash of the Phoenix also holds the Main before Alt rule. If you choose to take your Alt to a raid, loot will first be distributed to a main then auctioned off to alts then for off-spec. Why is this? A raiding guild is built to progress as a team, not a single person. No one cares what your rating is on WoWHeroes, people care about the guild rating. Please remember this.

Absence/Vacations:

If you know that you are going to be away from game for an extended period of time, it is your responsibility to ether mail our guild leader about your absence or make a port on our guild forums – failure to do so may result in a /gkick upon your return! Any member who has been offline longer than 1 month with no explanation is subject to being deguilded.

Please Remember

When you accept to join the guild you are agreeing to all the rules listed above. Thank you for taking the time to read the Rules and Conduct and welcome to Ashes of the Phoenix.
